The Best Green Smoothie Recipe

I know wheatgrass shots have been a thing in the last several years but I've never understood the hype (or any legitimate health benefits) around chugging a shot glass full of what tastes like straight dirt. Most green smoothies I've tried are no different. I've found that the key to making the best green smoothie is your veggie to fruit ratio. I love using fresh or frozen bananas as a fruit option because it gives smoothies a super creamy texture. I'm always looking for ways to add in protein to my meals and snacks, so adding a tasty protein powder like this one helps provide an extra 20 grams of protein per serving.

Despite the odd looks I get, one thing I swear by when I make smoothies, is adding liquid egg whites. Don't leave this page yet, HEAR ME OUT. This is not the same thing as chugging raw eggs out of a glass ok?! Trust me when I say that adding in liquid egg white won't change the flavor or the texture of the smoothie - but it is a great way to get even more protein; I promise you won't even notice it's there.
